I would love to show a picture of a lovely coloured smoothie to wet your appetite, but in all honesty it will be a bit of a muddy grey purple colour and quite thick in consistency!

I make up enough for a couple of days and also freeze some so you don’t need to make up fresh every day! Dilute it down to a consistency that suits you and you can add a bit of honey to sweeten further if required.  You can also change around the fruits and mix with fresh or dried(unsweetened) as well as the nuts and seeds.  (Soak the nuts and seeds the night before to activate the enzymes).

1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries

1/2 cup frozen cranberries

1/4 lemon with rind (optional)

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tbsp pumpkin seeds

1 tbsps chia seeds

1 tbsp hemp seeds

2 walnuts

1/4 avocado

1/2 tbsp extra-‐virgin coconut oil

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup  filtered water

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth, about 2 minutes. If the shake is too thick, add more water until you reach a thick but drinkable consistency.
